What We Achieved in 2025
This year was full of momentum, progress, and proud moments. Here are some of the highlights:
Graduation Showcase
Celebrated our first graduation showcase, recognising three graduates who completed the three-year GMSTC course.
Craft Fayre & Fundraising
Hosted Kunning Gambia’s first Craft Fayre, with a strong turnout from vendors and supporters and successful fundraising for Kunning Gambia.
Collaboration
Collaborated with other organisations, including ACT CIC and PHIAH Media.
Website Launch: Our New Homebase
We’re proud (and genuinely excited) to announce the launch of our new website: kunninggambia.org. This is something we’ve wanted to do for a long time — a place that represents Kunning Gambia clearly, confidently, and in line with our growing identity.
We’ve always had a strong presence on social media, and that remains important. But this website is the evolution of that work — our homebase. It will be the place to find our formal updates, information, reports, news, and developments, and the place to connect with us directly.
Just as importantly, it gives us a platform to highlight and elevate great work, partnerships, and community developments that align with our mission to empower women and girls in The Gambia.
A huge thank you to our media partner PHIAH Media for helping us develop and deploy the site — and please keep your eye open for further improvements and new features coming soon.

Looking Ahead to 2026
We’re excited about what’s next and the opportunities ahead. Our focus for 2026 includes:
- Expanding the training programme to Kartong
- Introducing an advanced entrepreneurship module
- Hosting our second annual Kunning Gambia Craft Fayre, to connect local artisans with potential buyers worldwide
- Securing joint office accommodation for both projects
- Continuing collaboration with other organisations
- Forming a volunteering structure to support students and expand the GMSTC module
